Winter Jackets
Are you planning on getting your winter jacket this winter? What’s the best winter jacket?
From the moment I moved to Canada, winter was on my mind, & I immediately started thinking about which jacket would keep me from freezing. The first brand that came to mind was Canada Goose, so I went to the store, tried on almost every jacket, & chose the short version designed for up to -40°C. Canada Goose offers a huge variety in terms of length, material, thickness, + colors. there’s truly something for everyone.
I absolutely love my Canada Goose jacket. It’s incredibly warm, as I never worry about the cold, even in freezing temperatures. It’s also my go-to for skiing because it keeps me perfectly insulated on the slopes.

Another brand you might love is Mackage, a Canadian brand known for its stylish outerwear. I picked up one of their belted jackets, which feels lighter & dressier than my Canada Goose jacket. While they do offer thicker options for colder weather, what sets Mackage apart is their feminine, stylish cuts. They also design stunning wool coats that are absolutely gorgeous!
Mackage Highlights:
More stylish options with a fashion-forward edge
Tailored cuts that highlight the feminine silhouette
Offers both outerwear & wool coats
Similar prices as Canada Goose
Available in basic, classic colors
Time to talk about Moncler, a well know luxury brand that was found in France & has a very rich history. Moncler designs are super creative, each collection tells a story. I love to go into a Moncler store cause there’s always something to stare it. Unfortunately, their jackets are not as warm and are not made for Canadian winter, maybe Europe.
Moncler:
Aritzia’s The Super Puff jackets are some of the most fashionable yet basic jackets out there. They come in a variety of styles, colors, materials, & lengths. When I was looking for a lighter option than my Canada Goose jacket, so many people recommended The Super Puff. I ended up getting two colors: baby pink & olive. They’re super light & feel incredibly soft, but I’ve noticed that they’re not necessarily the warmest. I often have to layer with heavier hoodies or sweaters underneath to stay warm in colder weather.
They also designed them for men.
Now it’s Moose Knuckles turn, a Canadian brand found in 2009. This brand offers very unique designs that’s made for people who tend to have edgier & louder style. I don’t own a parka from Moose Knuckles but when I used to sell winter jackets, they were the heaviest, & specific type of customers used to buy them.
