Laylak Lebanese Cuisine Toronto

The first Lebanese restaurant I tried after moving to Toronto, & so far it’s not bad. The menu strikes the perfect balance, not too big, not too small with just enough variety to make choosing easy. The appetizer portions are generous, and the vibe is ideal for a date, thanks to its ambience & just the right level of quiet.

$70-$100 per person.

Menu posted below.

what we ordered:

  • fattouch: 9/10. I personally liked it, but others didn't like the garlic’s taste in it

  • hummus: creamy. loved it.

  • hummus with meat

  • mouhammara: not too spicy, which is good

  • batata harry: way too spicy.

  • rehab salad: eggplant, mixed bell pepper, onion, walnut. similar to baba ghanouch (if you know it)

  • Freekeh with beef cheek: smoked wheat + meat. if you know freaked you’d know it wasn’t 100% freekeh.

  • mixed grill: good.

sweet dates

this is a sticky date (instead of toffee) pudding comes with icecream. 10/10
