Body Care

Laser hair removal,

SkinFix - $43

This pre-shower scrub is designed to exfoliate the skin & help prevent ingrown hairs. The recommended use is to scrub your body while it's dry, then continue exfoliating in the shower.

I made sure to finish the entire product to give it enough time to work, but unfortunately, I didn’t see the results I was hoping for. My ingrown hairs remained the same, and while the scrub’s scent is quite strong, it also stayed on my skin longer than I’d like. Overall, it didn’t deliver the benefits I was expecting.

First Aid Beauty Kit - Bye Bye Bumps - $39

This kit for treating Keratosis Pilaris (KP) includes a body lotion, wet pads, & body scrub. KP occurs when excess keratin clogs the pores, leading to rough patches & ingrown hairs. The products in this kit are formulated with AHA and BHA, chemical exfoliants that help remove dead skin cells.

  1. Body scrub: I recommend using it with exfoliating shower gloves. I like to leave it on for about 5-10 minutes to let the AHA work its magic.

  2. Pads: My favorite part of the kit! Just swipe them over your skin after showering or shaving. They can be used on underarms, the bikini area, face, and neck, and they’re fragrance-free, which is a bonus.

  3. Body lotion: I didn’t notice that it made any difference after using it.

They also have strawberry scented versions of their products.

Coco & Eve Gel Scrub - $40

I wouldn’t really call it a scrub, it’s way too gentle for that. But since it’s packed with 3 types of chemical exfoliators (AHA, BHA, and PHA), its goal is to renew the skin. I noticed my skin feels softer + more moisturized every time I use it, however,After using this for over a month, I can confirm that not much has changed. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any results when it comes to my ingrown hairs.
